First Baptist Church of Paris Missions and Outreach
First Baptist Church of Paris supports many local and wider mission projects.

As part of American Baptist Churches USA we support ABCOM world missions by taking up intentional offerings for America for Christ National Ministries, One Great Hour of Sharing, and World Mission Offering.

One Great Hour of Sharing is an offering that makes real the love of Christ for individuals and communities around the world who suffer the effects of disasters, conflict, or severe economic hardship, and for those who serve them through gifts of money and time.

More important is the local outreach work. Our mission includes meeting the needs in the community around us. We strive to meet the needs that God brings across our path. We believe by meeting those needs that we can draw people in to Christ and into our church. The bigger goal of reconnecting people back to God spiritually is not in opposition to meeting people’s immediate challenges. We love God and we love our neighbor as much as we love ourselves.

Each year our Christmas tree is decorated with hats, mittens, and scarves which are then provided to Community Concepts to assist those in need in our local communities.

Our weekly Bread Pan Offerings and Discretionary Funds are used to support various community efforts. We have donated to project Graduation; St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital; REACH; local families to provide school clothes and supplies, to assist with moving expenses and requests for fuel; local scholarship funds.

"...love your neighbor as yourself." Matthew 22:39
